“the summer whiff” [poetry]

Evening sun reflecting on my closet door
The nostalgia hits me like before
Every childhood has it’s little bits
Every moment has it’s little wits

Playing in the sun, as the grass is tall
Preying to the fun, as it was goal
Telling silly things, as we felt so
Manifesting legends, that were once for

Every possible little whim
Every tree and it’s soul within
Every corner with shadow in it
Every neighbour that was creepy, innit?

The way to lie on the grass,
They told you more than enough
Filled with bright warm dough from within
Every human has a great person in him

Summer whiff goes through open window
Rustling leaves, make the memory linger
The feeling of sun in my heart
Once forgotten, once taken apart…
Never again to depart…
